Richard Muldoon is an artist working in the medium of oil on linen. Richard has won major painting prizes such as the Churchie Emerging Art Award, The Courier Mail Art Prize, and the $10,000 Rotary Art Prize for his painted works. After 20 years working in the photography industry, winning many other awards, Richard has recently returned to painting full time.
Here he continues his exploration into his self conceived concept ‘PhotoUnrealism’, exploring the relationship between the language of photography and painting, memory and memoir as by products, and nostalgia and longing as emotive responses.

Over the last 20 years Richard along with his photographer wife Catherine, has worked within the photographic industry winning many awards, culminating in winning 2015 Australian Institute of Professional Photography Qld Professional Photographer of the Year.
Richard participated in solo and group exhibitions showcasing his photographic work featuring his Death Valley, Life Theatre, and Multiple Exposure photography projects.
